The rules and expectations for using HappyMind.
These terms apply to the HappyMind mobile application, related web services and paid subscriptions offered by HappyMind Labs.
1. Service scope
What HappyMind is and is not
HappyMind is a self-help, reflection and personal-development app delivered through conversational AI, assessments and guided exercises. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, emergency response or crisis care.
Any insights, prompts or exercises inside the app are informational and wellbeing-focused only. They must not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
2. Crisis warning
Do not use HappyMind for emergencies
If you are considering suicide, self-harm, harming others, or are in immediate mental-health danger, stop using the service and contact local emergency services, a crisis line, or a licensed healthcare professional immediately.
3. Eligibility and accounts
Who can use the service
- You must be at least 18 years old to create and use an account.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
- We may suspend or close accounts used fraudulently, unlawfully or against these terms.
4. Subscriptions
Paid plans, free trials and cancellation
- Some HappyMind features may be free; other features may require a paid subscription.
- Paid subscriptions can renew automatically until cancelled.
- Free trials may convert into paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Subscription management depends on the store or payment channel you used.
5. Refunds
How refunds are handled
- Apple App Store refunds must be requested from Apple directly.
- Google Play or direct website refunds may be reviewed within 14 days of contract formation.
- Any refund decision for non-Apple purchases is made by HappyMind Labs in line with applicable law and store rules.
6. Acceptable use
What you must not do
- Use the service unlawfully, fraudulently or in a way that harms others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, copy or commercially exploit the app or website without permission
- Share access credentials in a way that circumvents intended account or subscription limits
- Use content from HappyMind as if it were professional medical advice
7. Monitoring and security
Protection of the service
We may monitor usage and access accounts where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, secure systems, comply with law or protect the rights, safety and property of HappyMind, its users and third parties.
8. Intellectual property
Ownership
The HappyMind app, website, branding, software, designs, content and other intellectual property are owned by or licensed to HappyMind Labs. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, resell or create derivative works from them except where the law clearly permits it.
9. Termination
Ending access
You may stop using HappyMind at any time and cancel paid subscriptions through the relevant store or account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for cause, including fraud, unlawful use or serious breaches of these terms.
10. Governing law
Legal framework
These terms are governed by English law. Where consumer law gives you additional mandatory rights in your home country, those rights continue to apply.
